Qinyang City lies in the southeast of Henan Province,north to Taihang Mountain and south to the Yellow River, adjacent to Shaanxi Province, Shanxi Province and Shangdong Province. It's also the hub of Zhengzhou,Luoyang and Jiaozuo. Qinyang City has jurisdiction over 6 towns,4 offices and 326 administrative villages with a population of 466,000,covering an area of 623.5 square kilometers
Qinyang City, one of the birthplaces of ancient Hua Xia, let's out dazzling brilliance in each period because of its history and culture. It was ever the capital of six countries where ducks and princes under emperor lived in Xia and Shang Periods. From Xia Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, it had been the jurisdictional area of prefecture,road and government office. It was changed to build as a county in 1913 and as a city in 1989 . Since the ancient times, it has been then center of politics, economy and culture in the northwest of Henan Province and distributing place of commodities scattered to southeast of Shanxin Province. Then weather here is favorable and people are honest. It's also a great place propitious for giving birth to great men. Poetic mountain and water, rich natural minerals and famous persons all gather hear.
Shengnong Mountain is a present that the nature gives to Qinyang, which is honored as the Geologic Park under the world level, 4A-class Scenid Area under the national level and A-class Paramount Protective Zone of the World Natural Fund Prganization. The national protective units of historical relics like three-sage tower of Tianning Temple and Zhu Zaiyu Tomb etc will stretch their arms to welcoume friends at home and abroad with its vitality leaping over space-time.The rich minerals along Taihang Mountain have great potential for exploration. Abundant water and electricity and broad slope fit for construction make it an ideal place to develop and invest in large enterprises. The local specialty of the four Chinese Yam(namely:dgitalis, Chinese yam, chrysanthemum, root of bidentate achyranthes) and the three Huaiqing Peppers(namely:ginger, tobacco and garlic) etc enjoys high reputation both in the domestic and abroad, which are also of great value to people's health.
Qinyang is a glorious place. Confucius ever came and asked for advice many times. The surnames of Yu and Wei originates here. Cao Cao did battle in Yangchangban and wrote out a famous poem of Advance in the hard and cold times. Li Shangyin moistens all human beings with his sensitivity, beauty and depth. Zhu Zaiyu, a music saint, up to now, still keeps the height or man in personality and ability. Cao Jin, an official in the coastal area contributed to safeguarding Tailand and connecting people both in Motherland and Tailand. Song Xueyi, one of the five heroes in Langya Mountain and Li Wenyan, who acted Wang Cheng in the film of Heroic Youth are both glorious Qinyang pepole.
